The 2011 Wild About Children event is scheduled for November 21st - reserve your seats now!

Since its inception in 2000, the National Hockey League's (NHL) Minnesota Wild has invested more than $3.5 million dollars back into the community. Through its non-profit entities, the Wild has provided autographed and non-autographed merchandise for local fundraisers and benefits, made contributions to non-profit organizations, implemented successful events and provided awareness and brand connectivity for smaller non-profit organizations.

The Minnesota Wild Foundation dedicates its unique resources to support children’s medical causes, educational initiatives and to advance youth hockey throughout the State of Hockey. The Minnesota Wild's non-profit entities have supported Children's in a number of ways including staff, players and their families volunteering at the hospital, holding raffles at games and though their annual Wild About Children event.

In its seven year history the Wild About Children event has raised over $700,000 to benefit Children’s. At the event, the entire Wild roster serves as celebrity waiters and trades in their jerseys for aprons to wait on the 100+ guests in attendance. The event raises money through several fundraising vehicles, including a raffle, a silent auction and a live auction.

"We are grateful for the continued support of the Minnesota Wild and are proud to count
them as part of our team at Children's," said Alan L. Goldbloom, MD, president and CEO of Children's of Minnesota. "Wild About Children is always a fun event, and it plays an important role in helping us provide the best care possible to all of the children and families that we serve."
